BACKGROUND:
Vern Bitz has held a license as a Montana real estate agent since 1990 and has been associated with ERA Landmark Real Estate for his entire real estate career. Vern is a broker with a Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI) designation.
COMPETITIVE EDGE:
Vern’s sixteen-year career in commercial banking and a bachelor’s degree in accounting aid him in analyzing the market and assessing businesses opportunities. This experience is very helpful in today’s marketplace. As a long-time believer in small businesses and income properties, he can help customers with their needs in these areas. His banking background is especially helpful for commercial investors, developers and homebuyers. As a third generation Montanan, he has seen Bozeman grow and prosper and is always ready to help those looking to relocate to Big Sky Country. When Vern works with customers, he is very thorough and always pays great attention to detail when listing properties or searching for “just the right property” for his customers.
EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS CAREER EXPERIENCE:
After graduating from Montana State University with a bachelor degree in accounting, Vern began his banking career. He worked in personal, real estate and commercial loan departments before becoming president of the Bank of Montana in Helena. From 1983 to 1990 he concentrated on real estate development and construction projects. He owns and manages residential income property and a commercial retail and office complex.
COMMUNITY SERVICE & PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT:
Vern has been a member and past chairman of the Tournament Committee of the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as a member of The Salvation Army Property Committee. He is a member of the National, Montana and Gallatin Association of Realtors® and the Southwest Montana Multiple Listing Service.
PERSONAL:
Vern and his wife, Sharon, returned to Bozeman in 1983. They are ardent MSU boosters. They attend many athletic events at MSU, Bozeman High School and around the Gallatin valley. Other pastimes include boating, fishing, mountain biking and enjoying the Big Sky Country.
